International Women's Day Celebration at Presidency University
08-March-2025

Presidency University celebrated International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, with enthusiasm, embracing this year’s theme of strength, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of gender equality. The event began with inspiring speeches from esteemed key officials—Dr. Vijayan Immanuel, Vice Chancellor in Charge; Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar—who emphasised the significance of women's empowerment and progress.

The day was filled with vibrant cultural performances, including dance, music, skits, and faculty-led fashion shows, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. A highlight of the event was a special fashion show where students from the Presidency School of Design walked the ramp, showcasing designer outfits crafted by tailoring students from the Presidency Foundation Skill Development Centre.

Additionally, there were a variety of stalls offering clothing, accessories, nail art, mehendi designs, and delicious snacks, adding to the celebratory spirit.

The event concluded on a high note, leaving everyone inspired and united in the collective spirit of women's empowerment. Kudos to the DSA team, led by Dr. Anu Sukhdev, for coordinating such a memorable and impactful celebration!
