Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI), along with the University, constitutes 7 Schools and a College. While the college offers programmes to students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in information technology, commerce, management and journalism, the schools offer National and International Boards of Studies. Presidency College, located in Bangalore, has been re-accredited by NAAC with ‘A+’. The postgraduate MBA programme at Presidency College is approved by the AICTE, Delhi. Within a short span of three decades, PGI has created a niche for itself as one of the top-notch institutions in Bangalore. Recently, Presidency Group of Institutions (PGI) was bestowed with the “Most Promising Institute in South India” award at the British South India Council of Commerce and Business Meet 2014

About the Department

The Department of Mathematics, Presidency University, School of Engineering, Bangalore, has been vigorously engaged in both research and teaching. The department has at present 34 energetic and dedicated faculty members who actively involved in research activities in the areas like, Differential equations, Real Analysis, Complex Analysis, Graph Theory, Fluid Mechanics, Differential Geometry, Operation Research, Cryptography, Coding Theory and Topology. The department offers the Ph.D., Programme and other Mathematics courses for engineering departments.

About the Conference

Graph theory is rapidly moving into the mainstream of mathematics mainly because of its applications in diverse fields which include biochemistry (genomics), electrical engineering (communications networks and coding theory), computer science (algorithms and computations) and operations research (scheduling). The powerful combinatorial methods found in graph theory have also been used to prove significant and well-known results in a variety of areas in mathematics itself.

The conference will provide an opportunity for interactive discussion with experts on research in all the areas of Graph Theory. Original research papers are invited from research scholars, academicians and industrialist on graph theory and its allied areas. Authors who want to present their research papers are invited to submit full paper in Latex. Accepted papers are expected to be presented at the conference. All the research papers for the conference to be sent to the conference coordinator through e-mail: icgta2026@presidencyuniversity.in
