The Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit for its 7th-semester students to BEML Limited, Mysore, on December 6, 2024. The BEML Mysuru complex is a renowned manufacturing unit specialized in the production of defense, aerospace, and high-tech equipment. 

The industrial visit started with a detailed briefing by Mr. Arun, followed by a guided tour led by Mr. Sagar and Mr. Yakshith, internship trainers. They introduced the students to the Industrial Engine Division, Truck Division, assembly area, and fabrication shops and provided insights into the applications of heavy-duty diesel engines across various sectors. The trainers demonstrated key processes such as heat treatment, bending operations, and the final assembly of dump trucks.

Additionally, students had the opportunity to engage with supervisors, gaining in-depth understanding of manufacturing processes. The visit was highly appreciated by the students as it offered a hands-on learning experience. The industrial visit was effectively coordinated by Dr. Yuvaraj Naik, Assistant Professor (Selection Grade).
