Presidency University successfully organised an Indian Navy Awareness Programme on 29 January 2026, with the objective of inspiring students to explore career opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces, with a special focus on the Indian Navy.

We were honoured to host Captain Hemanth Kumar M N as the resource person, who delivered an insightful and motivational session highlighting the structure, roles and strategic importance of the Indian Navy. The session covered career pathways, eligibility criteria, selection processes, training, and long-term growth opportunities, while also emphasising core values such as leadership, discipline, teamwork and service to the nation.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from 80–100 students, fostering meaningful discussions and providing clarity on defence-related career options.

Such initiatives play a vital role in bridging the gap between academics and real-world career opportunities, while also nurturing a strong sense of national pride and responsibility among students.
