Inaugural International Moot Court Competition 2026
The Moot Court Society of Presidency School of Law, in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission, proudly hosted its first International Moot Court Competition from 20th to 22nd February 2026. Over the course of three days, PSOL had the privilege of welcoming 44 teams from across India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The competition was inaugurated on 20th February at the University Auditorium with the traditional lighting of the lamp. The event was formally inaugurated by Hon’ble Justice Shivraj V. Patil, Former Judge of the Supreme Court of India and Former Chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission.
A distinguished panel of 53 legal practitioners and academicians from India, Germany, Singapore, and Australia adjudicated the competition. Following five rigorous rounds - Preliminary, Octa-finals, Quarter-finals, Semi-finals, and the Final - the championship title was secured by Tamil Nadu National Law University. MKPM RV Institute of Legal Studies emerged as the first runner-up, while The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University was declared the second runner-up. The winners were felicitated by Hon’ble Justice Venkatesh Naik Thavaryanaik, Judge of the High Court of Karnataka.
