Game Design Students Master Game-Ready Asset Creation
On 13th and 14th February 2026, 4th Semester Game Design students took part in Pro-Texturing: From 3D Model to Game-Ready Asset, a two-day intensive technical workshop held from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Designed to bridge the gap between 3D modelling and final asset integration, the programme provided students with a comprehensive understanding of the complete PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflow. Participants explored industry-standard techniques that enable the transformation of raw 3D models into polished, production-ready assets suitable for modern game engines.
Throughout the workshop, students engaged in hands-on sessions focused on material creation, texture mapping, optimisation, and real-time application. Emphasis was placed on achieving realism, efficiency, and technical accuracy to meet professional pipeline standards. By the end of the two days, attendees had strengthened their practical skills and gained valuable insight into preparing high-quality, game-ready assets aligned with current industry practices.
