Five-Day Seminar on Quantum-Driven Fashion Innovation
Presidency School of Design successfully organised a five-day international seminar on “Advancing Fashion Design through Hybrid-Quantum Technologies”, from November 13 to 17, 2025. The seminar was funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (NRF), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
The first session was led by Ms. Shanthi, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, Sri Krishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore, speaking on the topic "Intelligent Fashion Systems: Merging Quantum Sensing with Wearable Textiles". The second session was led by Dr. Ramratan, HOD, School of Design, Mody University of Science and Technology, Rajasthan, who spoke on the topic "From Fibre to Quantum: Revolutionising Virtual Fashion with Quantum Design Platforms".
Panel discussions were led by Mr. Ashok Kulkarni, Director, Canopus, Bengaluru, and Mr. Kannan Krishan, Textile & Innovation Expert, who emphasised the need for fashion advancement and shared insights on current industry needs in textile, product, and biomedical design.
The five day seminar was filled with futuristic insights, innovation, and visionary discussions and concluded with a remarkable journey through Quantum-Driven Fashion Frontiers.
