Presidency School of Design, as part of experiential learning, organised a two-day field trip to Ooty for its fashion students from November 12 to 14, 2025.

During the trip students visited and interacted with the Toda tribal community, allowing them to explore the age-old Toda embroidery, a heritage craft of Tamil Nadu known for its symbolic motifs and meticulous handwork. They learnt about the unique techniques and cultural significance of the craft while also experiencing the pride and passion preserved by the community across generations.

The field trip underscored the schools' commitment to celebrating and sustaining India’s traditional crafts.
