Faculty Wellness Session Promotes Work–Life Balance
The School of Computer Science Engineering at Presidency University organised a faculty wellness programme titled “Beyond Deadlines: A Wellness Pause for Faculty” on 10 January 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The initiative was designed to address the growing need for work–life balance among faculty members in today’s demanding academic environment. The session focused on helping participants understand the impact of professional stress on mental and emotional well-being, while emphasising the importance of balancing personal and professional roles.
The resource persons, Ms N. Namratha Jessica and Mr Vinod Chouhan, Student Counsellors at Presidency University, explained key psychological concepts and theories related to work–life balance and stress management. The session was structured to be both informative and engaging, combining theoretical input with interactive and enjoyable activities. These activities encouraged self-reflection, stress awareness, and mindful participation, creating a relaxed and supportive atmosphere for faculty members.
Faculty participants actively engaged in discussions and activities, expressing appreciation for the practical insights shared during the programme. The session served as a refreshing pause from routine academic schedules and reinforced the university’s commitment to promoting mental health, well-being, and a positive work culture among its faculty.
