Empowering Communities: PSOL’s Legal Awareness Initiative
The Legal Aid Clinic, Presidency School of Law, organised an outreach awareness programme
National Legal Services Day is observed annually to commemorate the enactment of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, which came into effect on November 9, 1995. The day highlights India’s commitment to ensuring “Access to Justice for All” and promoting legal awareness among citizens, particularly in rural and underprivileged communities.
The event was graced by distinguished guests and officials, including Sri K.P. Usha Reddy, Senior Advocate, Reddy’s Law Chamber; Sri. Vinod, Advocate, Reddy’s Law Chamber; Sri. Anjan Kumar, Circle Inspector; Sri. Aswath Narayana Gowda, Former Joint Director; Education Department; Sri. Subramanya P.T., Former Assistant Commissioner of Police; Sri. Madevappa, Regional Transport Officer (RTO); Sri. Punith, Sub-Inspector; Sri. Basavaraj, Panchayat Development Officer; Smt. Pruthviba, Panchayat Member; and Sri. Ganga Reddy, Block Education Officer (BEO), along with Panchayat Members and Local Representatives.
The event witnessed remarkable participation, comprising 250 students from Shri Shivananda Seva Ashrama Government High School, Thonde Bhavi, and 100 students from all batches of Presidency School of Law.
