Designing Futures: Two Weeks of Inspiration, Exploration & Learning
Presidency School of Design conducted two weeks of orientation for the new students from June 23 to July 9, 2025. The event was inaugurated by the University key officials. The program commenced with academic and nonacademic heads addressing students by introducing their respective schools/departments, which was followed by a "Know Your Faculty" session where students were officially welcomed by the design faculty.

The orientation program also included educational visits to Nandi Hills by Ms. Nivrity Sinha, assistant professor, and to the National Gallery of Modern Art, by Mr. Sanskar Verma, assistant professor, where students explored the ongoing exhibitions, observed artworks closely, and developed visual understanding and design sensitivity through direct interaction with curated collections.
Students also interacted with esteemed design alumni Ms. Ray Ann Varghese (B.Des. Communication Design, 2019) and Ms. Rhea Sanjay Rajpal (B.Des. Fashion Design, 2019), who offered valuable real-world perspectives on career pathways and industry expectations.
The orientation program also featured enriching interactions with industry experts, including a captivating photo story workshop by Mr. Midhun K. Benny,animation film designer, Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), and an engaging theatre workshop conducted by Ms. Paski—an accomplished actor, writer, director, educational trainer, travel journalist, and editor.
