Dept of Physics Hosts Expert Talk on Glass Science and Technology
The Department of Physics, School of Engineering, Presidency University, successfully organised an Expert Talk on “Contemporary Trends and Progress in Glass Science and Technology” on 17 June 2026 at the University Seminar Hall.
The session was delivered by Dr Abhiram J, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. Dr Abhiram provided valuable insights into recent developments in glass science, emerging technologies, advanced applications, and the growing role of glass materials in modern scientific and industrial innovations.
The talk offered students, researchers and faculty members an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of current research trends and technological advancements in the field. The interactive session encouraged meaningful discussions on the future prospects of glass-based materials and their contribution to perse sectors, including electronics, energy, healthcare and communication technologies.
