The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Presidency University, Bengaluru, is organising an Industry-Oriented Training on Power System Analysis using MiPower on 21 April 2026. This programme is designed for students, faculty members, and research scholars to enhance their practical understanding of power system analysis through industry-relevant tools and applications.

The training will be conducted by Dr U. Ravi Sankar, Senior Engineer at Power Research and Development Consultant (PRDC), Bengaluru. The primary objective of the programme is to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and industry practice by providing hands-on experience in solving real-world power system problems. Key topics include load flow analysis, short circuit analysis (symmetrical and unsymmetrical faults), transient stability analysis, relay coordination and protection, contingency analysis, system security assessment, and reactive power management using MiPower software.
