• Mr Ian Felton D’Almeida
  Application Engineer, CoreEL Technologies

• Mr Hari Karthik N
  Application Engineer, CoreEL Technologies

Convenor

Dr V Joshi Manohar
Head of the Department of EEE and Associate Dean (First Year)

Faculty Coordinators

• Dr Saravana Guruswamy
  Associate Professor, Department of EEE

• Dr Syed Mohammed Uddin
  Assistant Professor, Department of EEE

Objective of the Event

The workshop aims to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of MATLAB and its applications in engineering analysis, computation and problem-solving. It seeks to develop practical skills in MATLAB fundamentals, Command Window operations, script writing, mathematical computations, data visualisation and the graphical representation of engineering signals.

Participants will be introduced to the MATLAB programming environment through practical exercises involving basic mathematical operations, waveform generation and analysis, graph plotting, and result interpretation. The workshop will also familiarise participants with MATLAB tools and functionalities for numerical computation, signal analysis, engineering modelling and visualisation, enabling them to apply computational techniques to solve basic engineering problems.

Through interactive demonstrations and hands-on sessions led by industry experts from CoreEL Technologies, the workshop aims to enhance participants’ programming skills, computational thinking, analytical abilities and confidence in using MATLAB. Ultimately, it seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, equipping participants to use MATLAB effectively in their academic coursework, engineering projects, research activities and future professional endeavours.
