The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Presidency School of Engineering, Presidency University, Bengaluru, successfully organised the First National Conference on “Power and Renewables Engineering, Drives and Intelligent Control Technologies (PREDICT 2026)” on 12 September 2026 at Seminar Hall 2, F Block, Presidency University. The conference brought together students, faculty members, research scholars and industry delegates to exchange knowledge, present innovative research and discuss recent developments in power and renewable energy engineering, electrical drives and intelligent control technologies.

The conference provided a platform for discussions on key areas including renewable energy integration, power systems, power electronics, electrical drives, energy management, intelligent control, automation, electric mobility, smart grids and sustainable energy technologies. It also highlighted emerging technologies, research trends and contemporary engineering challenges, while facilitating the exchange of practical solutions across the evolving energy and electrical engineering domains.

PREDICT 2026 offered participants valuable exposure to innovative research, interdisciplinary approaches, industry–academia collaboration and emerging technologies. The conference strengthened technical knowledge, research capabilities and professional networking, while encouraging collaborative research and innovation towards developing efficient, intelligent, sustainable and future-ready engineering solutions for real-world applications and societal needs.
