The Department of Civil Engineering successfully hosted an insightful webinar on AI-Assisted Design in collaboration with the University of Liverpool. The session was delivered by Prof. Asterios Agkathidis, an expert in computational and digital design.

The webinar provided participants with a comprehensive overview of how artificial intelligence is transforming architectural workflows, from data-driven concept generation to 3D modelling and visualisation. Through live demonstrations, students were introduced to cutting-edge tools and techniques such as text-to-image generation, image-to-3D mesh conversion and AI-integrated design rationalisation.

The session also highlighted academic and career opportunities in advanced architecture, emphasising interdisciplinary learning, global exposure and emerging roles in AI-driven design practices.
