The Department of Civil Engineering, Presidency School of Engineering, successfully organised Project Expo 2026 on 12 May 2026 at the E-Block IV Floor Hall. The event provided a platform for final-year B.Tech Civil Engineering students to showcase their internship work and academic projects, highlighting innovative solutions, technical skills and practical learning outcomes developed as part of their curriculum.

 

The inaugural session was attended by the Dean of the School of Engineering, Heads of Departments, faculty members, jury members and students. The Civil Engineering Expo was graced by Mr Sunil R K, Founder and CEO, 3E-Services, Bengaluru, while Dr Nakul R, Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, welcomed the gathering and emphasised the importance of project-based learning and industry-relevant exposure. Students presented their work through A2-size posters, and projects were evaluated on innovation, technical content, presentation quality and responses to jury questions.

 

Among the award winners, Aakash S P secured the First Prize for the project Water Quality Dashboard and Visualisation for Lakes in Bangalore. The Second Prize was awarded to Arjun M, Ruchitha C R, Shashank K S, Chinmay V M and Dinesh K for their project Real-Time Emergency Route Optimisation Using GIS, while Tushar S Kinagi received the Third Prize for Analysis and Estimation of UG Tank and Steel Crossover Bridge.

 

The event concluded with a valedictory session during which cash prizes and certificates were presented to the winners. Project Expo 2026 successfully encouraged innovation, knowledge sharing and professional presentation skills, providing students with valuable exposure to real-world engineering challenges and solutions.
