We are delighted to share that our Civil Engineering students Mohammed Zafar (M.Tech) and Tushaar, Yuvaraj, and Ruchitha (B.Tech) have earned the Merit Award under the Public Infrastructure category at the prestigious L&T BIM Contest 2025.

 

The team, guided by Mr. Karthik M. H. (Mentor), showcased exceptional skill and innovation by developing a detailed BIM model of a hospital building, competing with some of the brightest student teams from universities across the country.

 

We sincerely appreciate the valuable guidance of Dr. Nakul Ramanna (HoD, Civil Engineering), Dr. Ramesh Sengottuvelu (Dean, School of Engineering), and Dr. Shwetha A (Selection Grade, Faculty – Civil Department) for mentoring the students in presentation skills and providing moral support throughout each phase of the competition.

 

We also thank Ms. Anju Mathew (Faculty, Civil Department) for her expertise in BIM workflows, and Mr. Bibang G. B. (Co-founder) for his contribution to conceptualizing the design. Our gratitude is also extended to Mr. N. Gopalakrishnan (Faculty, Civil Department) for his constant support.

 

This recognition highlights our department’s commitment to fostering practical learning through collaboration, innovation, and industry-driven exposure in Building Information Modelling (BIM).
