The School of Design hosted its ten-day orientation program from July 16–26, 2024. The inaugural day included a warm welcome by the key officials of the university and presentations by all academic and non-academic departmental heads, which gave a better understanding of how they will help in all aspects of their academic journey at the university.

The ten-day program featured a photography workshop by Mr. Sarath A. Pradeep, Assistant Professor, and his team; a doodling workshop by Vibin Kumar V. G., Assistant Professor; an origami paper designing workshop by India's only paper engineer, Mr. Arun Desai; a field trip to the Musuem of Art & Photography; and a fashion show organized by Ms. Suvidha, Assistant Professor, and her team and the foundation students of design and multimedia. These activities helped the new batch of students to understand how the school aims to provide a conductive environment for students to learn beyond the classroom. These activities not only gave a comprehensive overview of the students’ talents but also offered new students the opportunity to participate and showcase their creativity.
