Aarambh – Freshers’ Day 2026, organised by the Department of Student Affairs (DSA), Presidency University, was held on Saturday, 29 August 2026, to warmly welcome the incoming batch of 2026.

 

The event was graced by Dr Dinesh Nilkant (Provost), Dr S. J. Thiruvengadam (Vice Chancellor), Dr Venkateswaran S. (Registrar), Dr Vidya Shankar Shetty (Pro Vice Chancellor), and Dr Anu Sukhdev (Dean, Student Affairs). The celebrations were officially inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor.

 

The programme featured an energetic Indo-fusion dance and musical performance by senior students, followed by vibrant performances by the freshers across music, dance, fashion and personality rounds.

 

Key highlights included the Mr & Ms Fresher Contest, Excellence Fashion Team Performance, and the movie promotion and trailer launch of Spark, accompanied by a special student performance.

 

Food and activity stalls added to the festive atmosphere, while the event concluded on a high note with an energetic DJ session. Aarambh 2026 was a memorable and vibrant welcome for the new batch, setting the stage for an exciting start to their university journey.
