Yesterday marked a truly significant milestone for Presidency University Bangalore — the signing of our 200th international partnership with Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, UK , a proud member of the Russell Group and ranked #179 in the QS World University Rankings.

 

The delegation from Cardiff University was led by Professor Gavin Shaddick, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Physical Sciences & Engineering, who joined Dr Nissar Ahmed, Chancellor of Presidency University Bangalore, to formally sign this landmark 200th partnership.

 

But the significance of this milestone goes beyond a number. It represents what 200 partnerships can create for our students, faculty and wider academic community.

 

As part of the visit, Professor Shaddick delivered an inspiring session, “Zero to AI Hero”, for students of our School of AI & Advanced Computing. The session sparked engaging conversations around the possibilities of artificial intelligence and inspired the next generation of innovators.

 

We were also pleased to welcome Sarah Sherrington, International Partnerships Manager at Cardiff University, who interacted with students keen to explore dual-degree and Master’s progression opportunities.

 

Through this partnership, we look forward to unlocking new opportunities for students across Business, Computer Science and AI, while deepening academic collaboration, student exchange and innovation between our two institutions.

 

200 partnerships is not the destination. It is a launchpad for the next 200 opportunities.
