75th Republic Day Celebrations
Presidency University commemorated the nation’s 75th Republic Day on its campus on January 26, 2025. The event commenced with the Chief Guest Padma Shri awardee Mrs. Anupama Hoskere, Master Puppeteer hoisting the Indian National Flag along with Dr. Nissar Ahmed, Honourable Chancellor along with key officials Dr. Vijayan Immanuel, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty, Vice Chancellor in Charge, Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Dr. Anu Sukhdev, Dean – Student Affairs, Sports & Student Discipline.
Dr. Immanuel addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of the Constitution and the vital role of citizens in nation-building. Ms.Hoskere, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing India’s rich cultural heritage and the importance of youth in preserving and promoting it.
A standout moment of the event was the impressive march past by the NCC cadets, reflecting discipline and commitment, and earning enthusiastic applause. This was followed by a series of vibrant cultural performances. Patriotic group singing set a reverent tone, while a dynamic western dance infused the event with energy. A graceful classical dance celebrated India’s rich artistic heritage, beautifully complemented by soulful classical singing that echoed with patriotic spirit.
The NCC cadets were also recognized and awarded for their remarkable contributions, adding to the celebratory spirit of the event.
The Republic Day celebration was a grand success, fostering a deep sense of national pride and unity. The event effectively blended tradition with contemporary expressions of patriotism, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.
