Construct-A-Thon is an inter-collegiate civil engineering fest designed to test innovation, technical skills, and problem-solving through real-world challenges.
It brings together students to compete, collaborate, and explore modern construction and sustainable engineering concepts.

The Department of Civil Engineering focuses on building strong technical foundations through practical learning, industry exposure, and research-driven education. CADClash 3D Modelling
Description
Participants will be given a 2D design house plan, which they should convert into a visually pleasing 3D model using Revit Software within the given time constraint.
Rules & Regulations
- All teams will receive the same 2BHK residential building plan
- Teams must prepare a 3D model in Revit under time
- Team size: Up to 2 members.
- No use of internet / mobiles allowed
- Teams will submit their drawing/files for evaluation
Caption IT
Description
A fun and fast-paced event where participants create hilarious captionsfor 10 images, each within just 30 seconds. It tests your creativity, humour, and quick thinking under pressure. The funniestand most relevantcaptions within the time limit win. Strictlyno use of mobile phones during the event.

- No mobile phones or external help allowed
- Time limit is strict– late captionswon’t be considered
- Captions must be originaland on-the-spot

CiviGenius - CV Quiz
Description
CiviGenius is a fast-paced Civil Engineering quiz competition that tests participants across multiple rounds of increasing difficulty. Starting with a written MCQ round, selected teams advance to exciting final rounds that challenge their knowledge, expertise, and decision-making under pressure.
Rules & Regulations
- Competition begins with a preliminary written MCQ round.
- Top 5 teams qualify for the final rounds.
- Rounds may include General Knowledge, Your Expertise, and Do it.
- Team size: 2 members.
- Participants must follow the quiz master's instructions at all times.
Creative Canva
Description
Teams design and present a poster on Advances in Civil Engineering (Materials/Technology/Sustainability). The poster must be prepared in advance and brought on the event day. It should effectively communicate a technical concept through a balance of visuals and text, followed by a live presentation and Q&A session with the judges.
Rules & Regulations
- Poster must be prepared in advance and brought on the event day.
- Poster size must be A2 chart sheet in landscape orientation.
- Poster must include:Title, Methodology/Technology, Results/Case Study, and Conclusion
- Poster should containapproximately 40% text and 60% visuals.
- Theme: Advances in Civil Engineering (Materials / Technology / Sustainability).
- Team size: Up to 3 members.


Level IT Surveying
Description
Level It Right is an event designed to test participants’ field surveying skills using standard survey instruments. Teams will perform basic surveying operations involving Survey tools, focusing on instrument setup, levelling, observation, and accuracy. The event is structured to assess not only technical knowledge but also teamwork, time management, and practical execution in a real field environment.
Rules & Regulations
- 2 rounds: Levelling task + Measurement/Alignment task
- Complete tasks within the given time
- Teams will be evaluated in both rounds
- Final results based on combined scores
Span It Right
Description
Teams design and construct a miniature bridge using popsicle sticks and adhesive provided by theorganisers. The bridgemust meet specificdimensional requirements and will be tested under load. The challenge combinesstructural knowledge, efficientmaterial use, and creative design to build the strongest possible bridge within the given constraints.
Rules & Regulations
- Team of up to 2 members
- Only provided materials allowed
- Use popsicle sticks & adhesive only
- Span: 400 mm, Max width: 80 mm
- Deck width: 70 mm
- Max 200 sticks


Teasure Hunt
Description
The Treasure Hunt is a team-based event where participants solve clues to navigate through multiple checkpoints. At each stage,teams will receivea hint along with a piece of a house plan. Participants must memorize the plan and reconstruct it at the end of the event.
Rules & Regulations
- Team of 3 members
- 1 volunteer assigned per team
- No mobile phones allowed
- Volunteers guide only near the location
- Solve clue questions to get location hints
- Each checkpoint: 1 hint + 1 question
- Memorising the house plan is mandatory
UrbanKraft
Description
Teams design and build a smart city model on a cardboard sheet using pre-cut building modules provided by the organizers. The challenge requires thoughtful urban planning- integrating roads, green areas, water bodies, and essential infrastructure. Teams must present and explain their city layout to the judges, highlighting smart and sustainable features.
