Bridging the Age Gap: How Presidency University Turns Generational Diversity into Strength

The world in 2025 is witnessing a powerful shift—Gen Z is finally being heard. From the streets of Madagascar and Morocco to universities in Nepal, Indonesia, and Kenya, young people are leading movements on good governance, equality, and climate action. They are organising and leading political protests, not necessarily through political hierarchies but through social media. By using Instagram, TikTok and Discord, they are mobilising millions with a hashtag and a cause. The world over, Gen Z is demanding greater transparency in politics and reimagining the future of work.

The vibrant community of Presidency University reflects the same spirit of innovation and questioning. Gen Z also find a place here as employees and students, and their energy is impossible to miss. This generation is driven by purpose, is quick to challenge outdated norms, and is unafraid to ask, “Why not?”

At the Presidency School of Management, we witness these generational dynamics unfold every day. In fact, our classrooms bring together the sagacity of Baby Boomers, Gen X, and millennials and the vibrancy of Gen Z. The result? A learning environment that is as diverse in thought as it is in energy. Faculty members at the Presidency School of Management share timeless lessons on resilience and professionalism, while our students introduce fresh perspectives—from AI-driven ideas to sustainability-driven business models.

These idea exchanges extend beyond classrooms. Through workshops and internships, our students experience the real challenges of multigenerational teams. They get a practical feel of how adaptability, open communication, and empathy can turn generational differences into strengths. It is, in fact, a reflection of what is happening globally—a new model of collaboration where the Baby Boomers mentor, employees of Gen X manage, Millennials adapt, and Gen Z innovates.

At Presidency University, we believe that managing a multigenerational workforce is not about closing gaps—it is about building bridges. The same Gen Z that is reshaping political conversations globally is also redefining how we learn, work, and lead. At the Presidency School of Management, we prepare students to transform the workforce, not just join it.

In conclusion, it may be stated that Presidency University is an institution where generations converge, excellence emerges.
