A desire to provide students with quality education that would equip them to forge ahead in their chosen professions with the right mix of knowledge, skills and attitude at a time when there was a dearth of good schools to cater to the needs of the growing student population of this country drew Dr. Nissar Ahmed to the cause of education. Along with his uncle, Dr. Nissar Ahmed began this epoch-making journey and started a school in 1976 in the city of Bengaluru with just eight students.

‘Great oaks from little acorns grow.' Today, the Presidency Group of Institutions has under its umbrella eight schools (four affiliated with ICSE and four affiliated with CBSE), four Colleges and a University across the southern state of Karnataka, catering to about 30,000 students who are from all over the country and the world.
