Dr. Sivaperumal S. is a seasoned academician and visionary leader with 20 years of experience in higher education, research, and global academic collaborations. He holds two doctoral degrees in communication systems and non-linear controls. He has published more than 40 research papers (IEEE, Q1 journals), with an h-index of 14 and 1,200+ citations, secured INR 2 crore in funded projects, and holds three Indian patents.

A strong advocate of international collaboration, he has established 400+ global collaborations across 40+ countries, travelled to 30+ nations, and hosted a Nobel Laureate. His mentorship has enabled 1,000+ students to secure 300+ research internships at CERN, EPFL, NTU, and more. With partnerships across DST, ISRO, DRDO, HAL, and industry leaders, Dr. Sivaperumal drives research and innovation, strengthening Presidency University’s global impact.

Dr. Sivaperumal has held various key administrative positions, including Dean, R&D and International Relations; Director for International Relations; Director for Campus to Corporate (Placement and Training); Deputy Director of the Centre for Industry, International, and Research Collaborations; and Head of Engineering R&D, and he has served on various apex committees such as the Board of Management (BoM), Academic Council, Research Board, and Planning and Monitoring Board. He was also the Chairman of the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBSC), approved by the Dept. of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has served on the NAAC Steering Committee and as NBA Program Coordinator.
