The department has dedicated faculty members who are actively engaged in research activities in areas like differential equations, real analysis, complex analysis, graph theory, fluid mechanics, differential geometry, operation research, cryptography, coding theory, and topology. The department offers Ph.D. programs and other mathematics courses for engineering departments.

Mathematics is Prince of Science and Engineering- C. F. Gauss
In this era of emerging technologies & advanced sciences, developed nations are focusing on applied research by using knowledge linkages between scientists, engineers, and researchers. Mathematics & Statistics form the backbone for knowledge development for scientists and engineers. Our focus is to produce engineers equipped with modern mathematics tools with a strong understanding of the real world and engineering problems. I strongly believe that nobody becomes a prominent Engineer/Scientist without significant knowledge of Mathematics.
The Department of Mathematics, right from its inception since 2015 has been striving hard to become a center of excellence in Mathematics and Computing and it has been extensively engaged in teaching and Research activities of Engineering & Sciences and encourages interdisciplinary research. The Department has currently 39 well-qualified, experienced staff of whom all 39 are Doctorates. The faculty members have so far published more than 150 papers in various National and International Journals and have presented many research papers in National and International Conferences. The Department of Mathematics is offering more than 10 different courses in odd semesters as well as in even semester for all U.G students of B. Tech, B.Sc., BBA courses curriculum and has introduced MATLAB & R-Lab for all B. Tech undergraduate course in 2020, respectively.
The Department of Mathematics also offers 3 courses for P. G students – M. Tech and MCA. Our mathematics department faculties are doing good research in all mathematics field such as Real Analysis, Complex analysis, Graph Theory, Topology, Coding Theory, Fluid dynamics, Differential equations, Differential Geometry etc. and they published research articles in reputed journals also, all are guiding to the Ph.D., scholars in various research fields in mathematics and already PhD degree had been awarded to 20 scholars.
The Department has also initiated ‘Mathematics Forum’ in the year of 2021 in which the students are given a chance to exhibit their mathematical genius and computational skills.
