The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the Office of International Affairs, organized a technical session on the topic “The Value of Energy Efficiency” on October 6, 2023.

Prof. Patrick Phelan, Associate Dean and Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Arizona State University, led the session. He emphasized the importance of energy efficiency and its role in achieving the Net Zero Carbon Target, with a focus on India’s contributions. Prof. Phelan also discussed ASU’s research initiatives, including ultrasonic water freezing and solar-based refrigerated containers for agriculture.

The session, attended by nearly 60 students, provided insights into sustainable energy technologies and research opportunities at ASU, fostering meaningful discussions between the students and the professor.
