UN Sustainable Development Goal Club

The UN Sustainable Development Goal Club was inaugurated on November 29 at the auditorium of Presidency University. The dignitaries for the event included Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar, Major General Gurudeep Narang (Veteran), Dean, Student Affairs and Proctor - Dr. Anu Sukhdev, Assistant Dean, Student Affairs and Mr. Sameet Joshi, Head, ISR and Alumni.

The dignitaries addressed the audience on the importance of establishing the UN-SDG club in the university and the significance of achieving the 17 goals of the SDG, the benefit of which will reap a sustainable future for all. They also encouraged all to uphold the club’s motto, "Together, we can change the world.

As the first initiative, the club conducted a two-week-long campaign named “Orange the World," which was intended to create awareness amongst youth on the topic of violence against women in various aspects of life.

The club has more than 150 registered volunteers now, and more students have shown interest in joining the club.
