12-December-2024

The Outreach Program by the Presidency School of Design, held from December 12–14, 2024, featured engaging and interactive design workshops for school students. The activities included T-shirt coloring, wearable art, and comic art workshops, targeting students from Classes 7–10 across various Presidency schools, including PSBE Kasturi Nagar, PSBN Yelahanka, PSBSK Banashankari, PSRTN RT Nagar, SPES - St. Paul's English School JP Nagar, and PSBS - Bilekahalli. These workshops introduced students to the basics of color theory and its practical applications, innovative techniques for creating wearable artistic designs, and the fundamentals of visual storytelling, character creation, and comic illustration.

These creative workshops received highly positive feedback from both participants and parents. Students appreciated the opportunity to explore artistic fields, while parents praised the workshops for their innovative, well-structured formats and their role in sparking interest in creative career paths. These initiatives highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a glimpse into professional design education.

The resource people for the workshops were assistant professors Ms. Suvidha Raju and Mr. Sanskar Sharma, Mr. Babu D., Ms. Niveditha, and Dr. Gaman Palem, with coordination by Ms. Jyoti Kaushik Sharma, assistant professor.
