Media Conclave: Redefining journalism in the digital age
The Presidency School of Media Studies successfully hosted Media Conclave: Redefining Journalism in the Digital Age on November 8, 2024. The panel included distinguished speakers Dr. Sarvapriya Sangwan, Head of Videos, BBC, Mr. Rajesh Joshi, Senior Journalist, Ms. Himanshi Dahiya, The Quint, Dr. Stanly Johny, The International Affairs Editor—The Hindu, Ms. Maya Sharma, Senior Journalist, Mr. Pratyush Ranjan, Press Trust of India, Mr. Darab Farooqui, Indian Film Maker and Writer, and Ms. Ayesha Khanum, Senior Journalist and Chairman, Karntaka Media Academy, who addressed various trending topics from media ethics to digital innovation in journalism.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by university key officials Prof. Vijayan Immanuel and Vice Chancellor in Charge, Dr. Vidya Shankar Shetty, Pro Vice Chancellor and Ms. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar.
The discussions captured the essence of contemporary journalism, providing participants with a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the field. The session was the perfect platform to address contemporary issues in media and communication.
