Presidency University, in collaboration with Cardiff Metropolitan University and Mangalore University, hosted a special session track titled "Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition through Artificial Intelligence" as part of ICRAI 2024. The conference was conducted in hybrid mode on December 17, 2024, with Springer Nature as the publication partner.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Sameeruddin Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean, School of CSE & School of IS, along with Dr. Abdul Sharief, Dean, SoE; Dr. Shakkeera L, Associate Dean, SoCSE; Dr. Mydhili Nair, Associate Dean, SoCSE; and Dr. Mahalakshmi, Associate Dean, SoIS. The keynote speaker for the session was Prof. Nagesh H R, Principal, Canara Engineering College, who served as the chair for the special session (online). Dr. S. Pravinth Raja, Professor and HoD, SoCSE, and Dr. Gopal K. Shyam, Professor and HoD, SoCSE, served as session chairs for both days.

Following the inauguration, the paper presentation sessions commenced, featuring cutting-edge research and innovative ideas in the field of responsible AI. The conference attracted 250 article submissions from across the globe, of which 35 papers were selected for presentation and publication consideration. Notably, three of these papers were contributed by Presidency University. The review process for all submissions was conducted by faculty members from Cardiff Metropolitan University, UK.
