Brigadier Sumesh Sharma (Veteran) holds a master's degree in management studies and a B. Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has diverse leadership experience across the armed forces, the corporate sector, and as an entrepreneur.

During his distinguished service in the Indian Army, Brigadier Sharma has executed prestigious assignments leading operational logistics, administration, civil works, military digital infrastructure, personnel management, and other key functions for active field formations across counter-insurgency operations, high-altitude areas, deserts, jungles, and overseas peacekeeping operations, with the majority of his military service spent in strike formations and new raisings. He sought premature retirement from the Indian Army in 2009 to join GMR Group, where he established an iconic capacity-building program for EPC business and was subsequently moved to the corporate headquarters to lead administration for all businesses of GMR Group, where he achieved substantial improvement in service levels, user satisfaction, and cost reduction. As an entrepreneur, he set up a technology-enabled business and 0-1 ecosystem from scratch, providing direct employment to over 50 full-time employees, before exiting with a wealth of learnings. 

In his current role as Director - Administration, Brigadier Sharma is overseeing University campus administration including facility management, security, transportation and all in-campus user services.
