Dr. Ramesh Sengottuvelu is a distinguished academician with over 34 years of extensive experience in teaching across reputed engineering institutions and has made significant contributions to technical education and academic leadership. He holds a PhD from Anna University and completed an M.Tech. from IIT Madras.

Dr. Sengottuvelu has served as principal of an autonomous engineering college for more than four years and is also a recognised NAAC assessor. He is a Council Member and Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India) and also serves as Chairman of the Production Engineering Division Board (PRDB), reflecting his strong commitment to professional excellence and the advancement of engineering education, practice and research.
