Congratulations to Dr. Erukala Kalyan Kumar and Dr. Vivek Kumar Pandey!

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering, Presidency University Bengaluru, proudly congratulates Dr. Erukala Kalyan Kumar (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Vivek Kumar Pandey (Co-Principal Investigator) on receiving a prestigious VGST–ECRA (Early Career Research Award) Grant of ₹10 Lakhs from the Vision Group on Science and Technology (VGST), Government of Karnataka, under the ECRA Scheme 2025–2026.

Project Title: “Physics-Informed Neural Network Driven Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) and Active Vibration Control of Self-Healing Aerospace Panels Using PZT Sensors and SMA Actuators.”

This achievement reflects the strong research culture, innovation, and academic excellence fostered at Presidency University and the Department of Mechanical Engineering. A proud achievement for the researchers, the Department, the School of Engineering, and the University!

Dr Sandeep G M Receives Young UVCE Alumni Achiever Award 2026

Dr Sandeep G M from the Department of Mechanical Engineering has been conferred the Young UVCE Alumni Achiever Award 2026 by the UVCE Graduates Association (UVCEGA) during UVCE Sammilana ’26, the annual Engineers’ Day celebration, held on 20 September 2026 at Century Club, Bengaluru.

The award recognises distinguished young alumni for their notable contributions and achievements in their respective professional fields.

This achievement reflects the strong academic foundation, vibrant research culture and continued encouragement provided by Presidency University.
