Events

The Department of Petroleum Engineering, in association with the SPE Bangalore chapter, the SPE PU student chapter, and the AAPG PU Bengaluru student chapter, conducted an Industry-Academia Interaction Session 2023 for its students, faculty, and other professionals on October 3, 2023. The event was held at the Presidency University campus.

The panelists for the event included Dr. Ajay Mehta, Vice President, Engineering Technology and Chief Engineer R & D, Shell Group & Director, SPR Bengaluru Section Mr. Randhir Kumar, Front End Development Manager, Shell and Chairperson, SPE Bengaluru Section Mr. Rituraj Singh, Cost Estimating Engineer, Shell and Treasurer, SPE Bengaluru Section and Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Senior Reservoir Engineer, Shell and Membership Chair and Program Chair, SPE Bengaluru Section.

The main objectives of this technical event were to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and insights with industry professionals and academia, research collaborations, a platform for students to build professional networks, potential career opportunities, and enhance participants' research and industry-specific skill sets.
