The Department of Languages plays a vital role in academia by bridging linguistic barriers and fostering global communication. With a focus on research, teaching, and cultural exchange, it prepares students to excel in a multilingual and multicultural world.

The department is staffed by experienced linguists, literary scholars, and language experts who engage in groundbreaking research. Faculty members contribute to linguistic documentation, language preservation, and the development of effective language teaching methodologies. 

The department boasts of a very large number of PhD research scholars pursuing research in literature, ELT, Linguistics and Cultural Studies. All the scholars who had been awarded PhD degrees are placed in very prestigious institutes as faculty and in leadership roles. They continue to engage in research and publication. 

The department hosts multiple academic events, including Faculty Development Programmes, workshops, conferences, seminars and academic talks. The pedagogies are a fine blend of lectures, ICT, multimedia, mixed media and experiential learning. The department is an academic meeting point of all the schools as language is the key to connect.
