Mr. Bhaskar Mitra, a Fashion Alumni of National Institute of Fashion Technology, did master’s in business administration & second masters in Fashion & Textile from Nottingham Trent University, UK adding laurels to his academic acumen with a professional development course on Design & Management from the University of Arts, London, UK. With over two decades of expertise in the world of design, fashion and academics in the national & international markets – he has helped many brands to restructure themselves in India and overseas.
He has to his credit more than 36 Design Consultancy Projects, assisting the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) under Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India. His area of research goes with Sustainable craft development, Traditional Indian Textile/Smart Textile, Innovations and research, Marketing and Retail.
To his credit, he has guided extensive Research and got 56 patents applied, Copyrights and design registrations over 300 plus. Paper publications – 50 plus in top national and international journals.
He has led many Designs School to have tie-ups with major Fashion Universities in Italy, Spain, Poland, France, Australia, UK & USA. International tie-ups with the industry in countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia & Middle East.
