At Presidency, priority is given to not just academic excellence but also the talents of students in any extracurricular activities. To promote sports and athletics, the campus has outdoor facilities such as a basketball court, a volleyball court, cricket nets, and a kabaddi ground. Additionally, there are indoor facilities for caroms, chess, and table tennis. These amenities are also provided in student hostels.

The sports department has scheduled 10 coaches for weekly visits to the campus to train students in a range of sports. Students interested in martial arts are trained in boxing, judo, karate, and taekwondo. The department also promotes student participation in walkathons, marathons, and cross-country runs held in Bengaluru. A proposed sports stadium is under development, which will boost sporting activities at the university.

The Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, had chosen PU to host the All-India Inter-University Cross Country Race (Men and Women) Championship in February 2023. Around 175 universities from all over the country took part in this event.

To learn more about sports and athletics at Presidency University, interested students can contact Dr. Alauthen Basha, the Director of Physical Education at Presidency University.
