World's Largest Innovation Expo at Presidency University

Presidency University conducted the World’s Largest Innovation Expo of 900 Engineering Projects by 5000 freshmen and sophomores and the 4th Innovative Project Expo-2024 on June 3rd and 4th at the campus. This momentous occasion was graced by Chief Guests Dr. Suchita Shukla, Director, World Book of Records, UK, and Mr. Ramesh Srinivasan, Technology Head, AI Cloud 1.0. Data Transformation, TCS. Among the key officials from the University were Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice Chancellor in Charge, Dr. Sameeruddin Khan, Dean School of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Science, Dr. Abdul Sharief, Dean School of Engineering, and Dr. Divya Rani M.S, Head of Innovative Projects.

During her welcome speech, Vice Chancellor emphasized the commitment and vision of Presidency University towards achieving technical excellence by fostering young, innovative minds to create impactful outcomes for the future. She congratulated all the participants and wished them the best. In his address, Mr. Srinivasan shared invaluable insights, which truly inspired and motivated the students.
The dignitaries unveiled an extraordinary achievement: Presidency’s first ever human-eyed robot, developed by engineering students.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the internal faculty guides and evaluators assessed the 900 projects and selected top 70 innovative projects created using Raspberry Pi and Arduino. On the concluding day of the event, a panel of 12 industry experts picked the top 10 projects out of the shortlisted 70 which included Arduino-Based Home Emergency Alert System, Car Accident and Alcohol Detector and Recorder Black Box, Arduino Based Multi meter, Simulator system for counter Hijack and sky Marshalling operations etc.
