A polymath and a seasoned academic administrator, Dr. M. Dhanamjaya has spent three purposeful decades in the realm of higher education. His keen interest in varied fields of study and research led him to obtain master’s degrees including MBA, MA, M.LI.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. He has a good number of publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit, and he has also guided many students who have received their doctoral degree.

Dr. Dhanamjaya has showcased his administrative versatility in various positions that he has held in various leading higher educational institutions. Previously, he served as Registrar for seven years, and in that capacity, he brought in several reforms in matters related to university governance, admissions, marketing, branding, human resource management, public relations, hostel management, and other niche areas of the university administration. Dr. Dhanamjaya demonstrated his exemplary leadership qualities as Pro Vice Chancellor and then as Vice Chancellor by envisioning and focusing on ameliorating various academic affairs. He has also exhibited his multifaceted skills as the Dean of Student Affairs. He has visited several institutions as the NAAC Peer Team Chairperson, and he was also the Executive Council Member of VTU, nominated by the UGC.

Dr. Dhanamjaya is a firm believer in ‘Team Work’ and the adage “When we grow others, we grow ourselves”.
