The School of Design conducted a one-week hands-on workshop on short film production for the multimedia students on April 18–24, 2024, at Presidency University.
The key resource person was Mr. Amarnath, who is an accomplished media and entertainment professional with over two decades of experience. Currently, he serves as the Chief Managing Director of INNTv, and prior to this, he worked as the director at RNA Media Works, Bangalore. With a passion for education, he has also served as a guest lecturer at institutions like St. Joseph’s College and PES College and co-founded Octopus Media School, focusing on visual effects training. Throughout his career, Mr. Amarnath has showcased expertise in media technologies, through which he continues to shape the industry, inspiring the next generation of media professionals.
The workshop trained the multimedia students for the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival 2024 by equipping them with practical filmmaking skills, including script development, screenplay writing, storyboarding, production, and post-production processes essential for short film creation.
