Presidency University inaugurated the ten-day orientation program welcoming the new batch of students for the 2024-2025 academic year on July 15, 2024, at the grand lawns. The event was for freshmen enrolled in undergraduate programs BCA, BSc, BA LL.B. (Hons), B. Com LL.B. (Hons), BBA LL.B. (Hons), BBA, and B. Com. 

 

The inauguration was led by the key officials: Dr. Anubha Singh, Vice Chancellor in Charge; Pro Vice Chancellors Dr. M. Dhanamjaya and Dr. A. M. Surendra Kumar; Dr. Sameena Noor Ahmed Panali, Registrar; and Dr. Mrinmoy Biswas, Registrar, Accreditations and Rankings. Deans of various schools, including Dr. Sameeruddin Khan, School of Computer Science and Engineering, and School of Information Science; Dr. K. Krishna Kumar, School of Commerce & Economics; Dr. Saroj Sharma, School of Law; Prof. Bhaskar Mitra, School of Design; and Dr. Ashish Sharma, HoD, School of Media Studies, were present at the event.

 

In their addresses, the key officials emphasized the academic excellence of Presidency University and its commitment to provide an environment conducive to an outstanding academic journey and holistic development of students. They extended their best wishes to the new comers for a successful experience at the University.

 

The event also featured presentations from various academic and non-academic departmental heads, who explained their areas of responsibility and how they will support the students during their time at the University.

 

The two-week orientation program from July 15-29 is an annual exercise that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of their respective schools, other departments, infrastructure and amenities, extracurricular activities, and much more.
