The University Library organized hands on training on the use of the legal database, Manupatra, which was offered to the 1st year and 2nd year LLB students of the university on Monday 28th August 2017. The training was offered by Mr. Chandrashekhar Patil, Regional Head, Manupatra Information Services. Mr. Patil mentioned that Manupatra is India’s premier legal information resource, designed to be used by a wide variety of users across Legal, Educational, Finance, Tax, Accounting, Corporate, Risk Management, Banks, Consulting, Government, Law Enforcement, Intellectual Property, Media markets and others. He demonstrated several searches on latest legal issues. Besides, the participants got an opportunity to search cases by searching by the name of the judge, court or a subject or a document. The trainer called upon the participants to practise searching which would help them get best out of the database. Present on the occasion were the Dean of the School of Law, Prof. Sapna Mohan and other faculty members besides 60 students.
