Dr. Shrishail B Anadinni is a Post-graduate in Structural Engineering from Karnataka University, Dharawad and holds a Doctoral Degree in Civil Engineering from VTU Belgaum.

He has a career spanning over 29 years in the field of engineering education and has served in various Engineering colleges in both teaching and administrative capacities. He started his career in 1990 as a lecturer at REC Hulkoti. After 15 years of yeoman service at REC, Hulkoti he joined Sir M Visvesaraya Institute of Technology, Bangalore in 2005 as Senior Lecturer. He then served as Head of the department of Civil Engineering at SVIT, Bangalore and played a key role in building up the infrastructure of the institute and setting up the department of Civil Engineering. He served as the Principal of Vijaya Vittala Institute of Technology, Bangalore from 2012 to 2018 and transformed the institute to one of class and repute known for its quality teaching.

He has been heading the Department of Civil Engineering at Presidency University from July 2018. He is also the chairman of Board of Studies and Departmental Academic Committee for Civil Engineering at Presidency University. He is also a member of the board of studies at Vogue Institute of Art and Design, Bangalore. He was nominated as BOE member of VTU in 2011. He has served as Structural Consultant for MR industries and was construction coordinator at REC, Hulkoti, and SVIT, Bangalore. He played a key role in setting up and getting requisite approvals from AICTE and DTE for a new Engineering Institute, VMSIT at Nipani.

He has published over 40 papers in National/ International Conferences and Journals. He has guided 40 M. Tech. students for their dissertation work. He has guided one Research scholar for Ph.D. in VTU, Belagavi and is currently guiding 06 Research Scholars at VTU, Belagavi as well as 03 research scholars at Presidency University, Bangalore. He is a Life Member of Institution of Engineers (India) and Indian Society for Technical Education.

His ground breaking research paper on “Mixture proportion procedure for Self Compacting Concrete” published in the Indian Concrete Journal in 2009 is referred by research students on Self Compacting Concrete even today. He is a very popular teacher known for his simple delivery of complicated concepts in subjects of Structural Analysis and Design. He has been instrumental in moulding thousands of engineering graduates and has helped them develop interest and understanding towards structural engineering subjects.

Awards: Conferred with “Eminent Engineer Award” by Institution of Engineers (India) Karnataka State Center on 15th September 2019.
