Dr. S. Maruthamanikandan received M.Sc. and M.Phil. degrees from Pondicherry University in 1999 and 2000 respectively and Ph.D. degree from Bangalore University in the year 2005. He subsequently joined Christ College, Bangalore as Lecturer in Mathematics in the year 2005. Christ College became an autonomous institution in 2008 and then deemed-to-be university in 2010. At Christ University, he taught Mathematics to students of B.Sc., BBM, B.Com., M.Sc. (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Mathematics) and M.Phil. (Mathematics). During his tenure at Christ University, he also successfully guided 11 M.Phil. and 3 Ph.D. scholars. After teaching around 8 years, he left Christ University in the year 2013 for family reasons and joined Shri Krishnaa College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET), Puducherry as Associate Professor of Mathematics. At SKCET, he handled B.Tech. classes and was conferred best teacher award in the year 2015. He was gold medallist in his PG programme in 1999. He passed NET (Fellowship) held by CSIR in the year 2000. So far, he has attended about 30 National and International conferences and made paper presentations in 16 of them. He got best paper presentation award (President of India cash prize) in one of the conferences conducted by ISTAM (Indian Society for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics) in the year 2002. He has published 11 research papers in National and International Journals and in conference proceedings. Dr. S. Maruthamanikandan is currently Associate Professor of Mathematics at Presidency University, Bangalore. He has been with Presidency University since its inception in the year 2015. He has handled engineering mathematics, numerical methods and probability and statistics courses at Presidency University for B.Tech students.
