Professor Dr. C.S. Ramesh is a highly qualified academic with a Ph. D in composite coatings from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, Chennai. He also holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University with a specialization in Metal Casting Sciences and Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from U.V.C.E., Bangalore University. 

Dr. Ramesh has over 25 years of experience in both teaching and research. He has a keen interest in several areas of research, including finite element analysis, tribology, metal matrix composites, and thermal spray coatings.  

 He holds membership in various professional bodies like the Tribology Society of India and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers. He has been conferred with outstanding achievement awards and honors, to name a few: the Prof. Satish Dhawan Award for Outstanding Contribution in the Field of Engineering Sciences by the Karnataka State Government for the year 2008; the Best Publication Award from VGST for the year 2011; and the Sudharshan Bhat Award for Best Research from IIT, Madras, Chennai, 1992; the Indian Iconic Educationist Award from the Indo Socio Development Association, 2017. He has executed research projects funded by several government agencies worth close to Rs. 2 crores.
