Dr. Shilpa Mehta is a gold medalist in the Bachelor of Engineering and a professor with teaching experience spanning 30 years. She completed her Bachelor of Engineering in 1991 and has since worked in the teaching field. She completed her Masters in 1997 and her Ph.D. in ECE at JNTU Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh). Dr. Mehta published her first national conference paper in 1994 at IIT Roorkee and her first international paper at Nanyang University, Singapore, in 1995. She has published numerous journals and conference papers and guided many award-winning projects for undergraduate students. Dr. Mehta has memberships in professional bodies like FIETE, MIEEE, LMISTE, and LMIAENG and holds certifications in skills like artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, and surveillance of communications.  

Prior to joining Presidency University, she served as the Controller of Examinations at SVCE Bangalore.
