UTA Delegation Visit to Presidency University on 19th October 2019

Following the signing of MOU between Presidency University, Bengaluru, and The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), United States, on 30th August 2019, a delegation comprising of five key officials from UTA, namely, Dr. Pranesh B. Aswath, Vice Provost, Dr. Curtis Andressen, Vice Provost, International Affairs, Dr. Bahram Khalili, Graduate Advisor, CSE Department, Ms. Alicia Garner, Admission Office and Ms. Shobha Aswath, Volunteer at UT Arlington, visited the Presidency University on 19th October 2019 for addressing the interested students & parents about this program. Around 450 students and 30 parents attended this event.
The interaction between the UTA officials , students & parents were very effective . The focus of their address was on the prerequisites and structure of the 3+1+1 Program and also on job opportunities & scholarships at UTA, life at UTA and job prospects post completion of the course.
Dr. Bahram Khalili, addressed the first and second year students while Dr. Pranesh Aswath & Alicia Garner addressed the third and fourth year students regarding the various options for Masters available at UTA. The visiting team also had elaborate discussions related to the prerequisites and the courses that the students will register at UTA. A detailed course mapping to facilitate the successful completion of 3+1+1 Program was done with inputs from Professors of CSE from UTA & PU. The meeting concluded on a positive note and a final course structure for the 3+1+1 program was done.
