Dr. P S Venkataramu

Prof. P.S. Venkataramu started his career as an Electrical Engineer in Goa Electricity Department and worked for 15 years in various capacities. He was involved in implementation of many major power projects from the conception to commissioning stage. His passion for teaching made him to be a full time academician in the year 1997.
For the last 20 years, he is in the academic field. He has worked at VIT University for 10 years occupying important positions like HOD, Director-IQAC, Dean and Task Force Member of various activities.
Prof. P S Venkataramu was the founder Principal in Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology & Management, Bhopal. From 2007 to 2015, he developed the Institute into one of the best academic institutes in the region.
As the Dean-Internal Quality &Staff Development at REVA University, Bangalore, from 2015 to 2018 he has established the academic procedures based on the Outcome Based Education and trained about 380 faculty members in the implementation of the same.
Prof. P S Venkataramu joined Presidency University as the Dean-Academics in 2018 June. His major areas of interest include Power Systems Operation and Control, Application of Soft Computing Techniques to Power system problems, Development & Deployment of Quality Systems for Higher Education based on Outcome-based education, Preparing the university for various national and international accreditations and ranking processes, Teachers training, Counseling and Career guidance for students. He has guided two students for PhD.
